Nursing presentation services (NPS’s) provide opportunities to study cultural competence to improve the literacy of nursing students aged 12 years and older in English-speaking countries. Community relationships of nursing students from the practice area were assessed through interviews. The practice field staffs from local community health institutions were also interviewed. The research yielded approximately one hundred interviews. Thematic analysis and structural analyses of the data yielded high-level concepts that support the research findings. The study confirms the practical and cultural importance of cultural competence areas in the context of teaching nursing courses and further supports the findings of this research. The use of case studies allows for the evaluation tools for case studies presented by individuals with academic or non-academic credentials and the use of case studies as qualitative analysis methodology.
